Information

Overview
Details
Issue
You are unable to take over control of the presenter's shared desktop.
Symptoms
When remote control is enabled and meeting participants request remote control or click the shared desktop to take control, meeting participants are unable to take control of the shared desktop.
Cause
A Windows update for Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems is causing an issue with users of earlier versions of Bridgit Software.  All users of Bridgit software earlier than 4.7 will encounter issues if the presenter is using Windows 8 or earlier.
If you're using Windows 8.1 operating system on your computer, this issue doesn't occur.
Solution

To resolve the issue

If you are using Windows 7 or earlier, update the Bridgit Conferencing Server Software to version 4.7.

If you are using Windows 8, you can update to Windows 8.1, or update the Bridgit Conferencing Server Software to version 4.7.

If you are using Windows 8.1 or later, updating the Bridgit Conferencing server Software is not necessary but is highly recommended for the additional performance adjustments and bug fixes.
