“Activation cap exceeded” error message when activating SMART Notebook software

When you enter your product key to activate SMART Notebook software, you receive an error message: “Activation cap exceeded.”
Symptoms
Cause
SMART Learning Suite (formerly SMART Notebook Advantage) product keys are provided with a certain number of activations available.  When all those activations have been used, the error “activation cap exceeded” occurs during activation.
